Publish a website built in Cursor

Your Cursor agent can take the site live itself. Add the VibeBridge MCP server, ask it to validate and publish, and the result stays editable by people who never open Cursor.

Updated June 2026

Cursor is good at producing a clean static site. The hard part comes after: to publish a website built in Cursor, you suddenly need hosting, SSL, something to receive the contact form, and a way for your client to change a headline next month without filing a ticket with you. If you build sites for clients, that last point is the one that costs real time.

VibeBridge covers all of it at once. It is not a builder. It is the publish target: your Cursor agent connects to it over MCP and deploys the site directly, hosting and SSL are handled, forms are wired up automatically, and the live page is editable in a visual editor by people who never touch code. You keep full agent access for structural work.

What you need

  • A finished static site in your Cursor project (plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
  • A VibeBridge account (7-day free trial, no setup fee)
  • An API key, created in the VibeBridge portal
  • About ten minutes

Step 1: Finish the static build

VibeBridge publishes static output, so make sure what leaves Cursor is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. If your project uses a framework, run its static export and work with the output folder. Server-side code and databases do not run on VibeBridge; publish the static front end here and keep any backend on a developer platform.

Check two things before you deploy a static site from Cursor: image paths should be relative (images/hero.jpg, not an absolute path from your machine) with the image files inside the project folder, and internal links should point at files that exist. Ask the agent to verify both, it takes seconds.

Tip: Open index.html in your browser straight from the file system. If everything renders and links work locally, you are ready: what you upload is exactly what goes live.

Step 2: Create a VibeBridge account and an API key

Sign up at app.vibebridge.ai/signup. The trial runs 7 days, paid plans start at 9 € per month (excl. VAT), details on the pricing page.

Then create an API key in the portal. The Cursor agent uses this key to authenticate against the VibeBridge MCP server, so treat it like a password and keep it out of your repo. If it ever leaks, revoke it in the portal and create a new one.

Step 3: Publish the website built in Cursor over MCP

Add the VibeBridge MCP server to Cursor's MCP configuration. The server URL is https://app.vibebridge.ai/api/mcp, authenticated with the API key from Step 2. The exact click path depends on your Cursor version; the setup guide at app.vibebridge.ai/connect shows it step by step.

Once connected, the agent has real publishing tools, not just file access. Tell it something like: "Validate this page against VibeBridge and publish it." It can check the HTML first, upload pages and images, set titles and meta descriptions, and put the site live. You get a live URL right away, on EU hosting with automatic SSL. Every publish also generates sitemap.xml, robots.txt, canonical tags and llms.txt. The technical SEO baseline is covered; content quality is still yours.

Tip: If you would rather skip the MCP setup for now, drag the exported folder into the browser upload in the portal instead. HTML and images go up together, relative image paths are resolved automatically, and you can add the MCP connection later.

Step 4: Hand the live site to whoever maintains the content

This is the part Cursor users tend to underrate. Once your Cursor website is online, invite your client or teammate to the site in the portal. They click any text or image in the visual editor and change it directly: new wording, new photo, done. No code, no repo, no Cursor. Your agent keeps full MCP access for structural changes, so adding a page, reworking a section or managing redirects stays a one-prompt job for you.

That split holds up well in practice: content edits happen in the browser, structural work goes through the agent. Forms are part of the handoff too, since submissions land in a leads inbox and trigger an email notification. When you are ready for a custom domain, you add two DNS records at your registrar (the exact records are shown step by step) and SSL is provisioned automatically, usually within minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish a website built in Cursor if it uses a framework?

Yes, as long as you publish the static output. Run the framework's static export and upload or publish the resulting folder. Anything that needs a server at runtime, like an API or a database, has to live elsewhere; VibeBridge runs the static site, forms included.

Can my client edit the site without using Cursor?

Yes. Invite them to the site and they edit text and images directly in the visual editor in the browser. They never see code or your Cursor project; your MCP access stays untouched.

Can the Cursor agent update the live site later?

Yes. The MCP connection stays available, so you can ask the agent to add pages, rewrite sections, update SEO metadata, manage redirects or replace media on the live site at any time.

What happens to forms on the site?

VibeBridge detects forms in your uploaded HTML and connects them automatically. Submissions land in a leads inbox with status tracking, search and file attachments, and each one triggers an email notification. You do not need to build or host a backend.

Do I need git or a CI pipeline to deploy?

No. The agent publishes over MCP, or you drag the exported folder into the portal. What you upload is what goes live. You can keep using git for your own versioning, but VibeBridge does not require it.

What does it cost?

Plans start at 9 € per month (excl. VAT) with a 7-day free trial, no setup fee, and monthly cancellation. See the pricing page for what each plan includes, or write to support@vibebridge.ai.
