Publish a website built with ChatGPT

ChatGPT can write a complete website, but it cannot put one online. Here are two ways to get your ChatGPT site live: a simple browser upload, or connecting ChatGPT so it publishes the site itself.

Updated June 2026

ChatGPT is good at building websites. Ask it for a landing page and you get complete HTML, either as a code block in the chat, in a canvas, or as downloadable files. What ChatGPT cannot do is put that site on the internet. There is no publish button. To publish a website built with ChatGPT, you need a service that takes the HTML and serves it on a real URL.

VibeBridge is that layer. ChatGPT stays your builder; VibeBridge gets the result online, makes every text and image editable in the browser, and keeps the site running. There are two routes. Route A is a simple drag and drop upload. Route B connects ChatGPT to VibeBridge directly, so it can publish and update the site itself.

What you need to publish a website built with ChatGPT

  • The HTML that ChatGPT wrote, in the chat, in a canvas, or as downloadable files.
  • Any images the site uses, saved as real files.
  • A VibeBridge account. Sign up here, the trial is free for 7 days.
  • Optional: your own domain. You can start on the included live URL and connect a domain later.

Step 1: Get the HTML out of ChatGPT

Your site lives in one of three places. If ChatGPT answered with a code block in the chat, use the copy button on the block, paste the code into a plain text file and save it as index.html. If it opened a canvas, copy or download the contents from there. If it generated files for download, just download them and you are done.

Then collect the images. Download each one into the same folder as the HTML, or a subfolder like images/, matching the paths the code uses. If the code points at placeholders, swap in your real file names. The end result is one folder: the HTML plus every image it references.

Tip: Before you copy anything, ask ChatGPT for "the complete final HTML in a single file, with all CSS and JavaScript included". That saves you from hunting through the conversation for fragments.

Step 2: Create your VibeBridge account

Go to app.vibebridge.ai/signup and create an account. The trial runs 7 days, plans start at 9 € per month (excl. VAT, see pricing) and you can cancel monthly. In the portal, create a site and you are ready for either route.

Step 3: Route A, upload your files in the browser

In the portal, open the upload area and drag your whole folder in: the HTML file and the images together. Relative image paths are resolved automatically, so a folder that works on your computer works after upload too. Moments later your site is live on its URL.

VibeBridge also scans the page during upload. If the HTML contains a contact form, it gets wired up automatically: submissions land in your leads inbox and trigger an email notification. No backend needed.

Step 4: Route B, connect ChatGPT over MCP

If you would rather skip the copy and paste, connect ChatGPT to VibeBridge. Add a new connector in ChatGPT with the server URL https://app.vibebridge.ai/api/mcp and sign in with your VibeBridge account when asked. The exact click-by-click path is at app.vibebridge.ai/connect.

Once connected, tell ChatGPT to publish the site it just built and it pushes the pages to VibeBridge itself. The connection stays useful afterwards: ChatGPT can update content, adjust SEO settings, manage redirects and upload media on request. Claude connects the same way; dev tools like Claude Code or Cursor use an API key from the portal.

Step 5: Go live and keep editing without code

Either route ends the same way: your site is live, hosted in the EU on a global CDN with automatic SSL. You no longer need ChatGPT for every small change. Click any text or image in the visual editor and change it directly, pick colors, rearrange sections, or describe a change and let the built-in AI apply it. You can also invite someone else, for example a client, to edit content themselves.

Every publish takes care of the technical SEO basics (sitemap.xml, robots.txt, canonical tags, llms.txt), and built-in analytics show visits without cookies or stored IPs. For your own domain, VibeBridge shows you exactly two DNS records to add at your registrar and provisions SSL automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT publish a website on its own?

No. ChatGPT writes the code, but it has no hosting and no publish button. The site only exists inside the conversation until the HTML is served somewhere. That is the step VibeBridge handles, via browser upload or the direct ChatGPT connection.

My whole site is one long HTML file. Is that a problem?

No. A single file with the CSS and JavaScript inside is the most common ChatGPT output, and it publishes cleanly. The visual editor works with any clean HTML, so a one-file site stays fully editable, and you can add more pages later.

What happens to the images ChatGPT used?

Download them and upload them together with the HTML file. Relative paths are resolved automatically, so images appear correctly as long as the file names match the code. You can also replace any image later in the visual editor.

Can I edit the site later without asking ChatGPT?

Yes. Click any text or image and change it directly in the browser, no code involved. For bigger changes, describe what you want to the AI-assisted editor, or ask ChatGPT over the connection.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. VibeBridge shows you exactly two DNS records to add at your registrar, step by step, and provisions SSL automatically. The change usually goes through in minutes, in rare cases up to 24 hours.

How much does it cost to publish a website built with ChatGPT?

Plans start at 9 € per month (excl. VAT), with a 7-day free trial, no setup fee and monthly cancellation. Hosting, SSL, forms, the visual editor and the ChatGPT connection are included. Details on the pricing page.
