An AI tool built your website, and it looks great. Then the phone number changes. Or a price, or the photo in the hero. Suddenly you are back in the chat, asking the AI to regenerate the page, checking that nothing else moved, and redeploying the whole site for a five-word edit. A folder of HTML files is not a CMS. To make an AI-generated website editable, you need a layer that turns the finished code into something you can click and change.
VibeBridge is that layer. It does not build or redesign anything. You upload the HTML once, and every text and image becomes directly editable in a visual editor. The design stays locked, so you cannot wreck the layout, and your AI tool can stay connected for bigger changes later. Here is how to set it up.
What you need to make an AI-generated website editable
- The site your AI tool built, saved as files: the HTML plus any images, ideally in one folder.
- A VibeBridge account. Sign up here, the trial is free for 7 days and there is no setup fee.
- About ten minutes. No code knowledge is required at any step.
Step 1: Export the site from your AI tool
However you built the site, with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another coding tool, the goal is the same: get the finished site onto your computer as files. If the code lives in a chat, copy it into a plain text file and save it as index.html. If your tool generated files or a project folder, you already have what you need. Collect the images too, in the same folder or a subfolder like images/, matching the paths the code uses.
Tip: If the site is scattered across a long conversation, ask your AI tool for "the complete final HTML in a single file, with all CSS and JavaScript included". One clean file beats twenty fragments.
Step 2: Upload it to VibeBridge
Create your account at app.vibebridge.ai/signup, create a site and drag your whole folder into the upload area, HTML and images together. Relative image paths are resolved automatically, so a folder that works on your computer works after upload too. Your site is live on its own URL right away, hosted in the EU with automatic SSL.
During upload, VibeBridge scans the page. Plain HTML is all it needs: no special attributes, no templates. If there is a contact form, it gets wired up automatically and submissions land in your leads inbox with an email notification.
Step 3: Click anything to edit it
Open the editor and the page appears exactly as visitors see it. Click a headline and type the new one. Click a paragraph to change text on your AI-built website, formatting intact. Click an image to swap it. There is a color picker for backgrounds and accents, and sections are handled as whole blocks rather than loose code.
This is what it means to edit an AI website without code: the layout, fonts and spacing your AI tool designed are locked, and you only change the content inside them. For bigger rewrites, describe the change in plain language and let the AI assistance inside the editor apply it, for example "make this section about our new opening hours".
Step 4: Publish when you are happy
Edits do not go live as you type. They are saved as a draft, so you can preview the result and come back later. When everything looks right, hit publish and the changes go live on your URL. Each publish also refreshes the technical SEO basics: sitemap.xml, robots.txt and canonical tags are generated automatically.
From here, maintenance stops being a solo job. Invite teammates or a client so they edit content themselves instead of sending you change requests. And for structural work, connect your AI tool over MCP: Claude and ChatGPT sign in with your VibeBridge account, dev tools like Claude Code or Cursor use an API key from the portal. The click-by-click path is at app.vibebridge.ai/connect. Small edits stay in the editor, big changes go through your AI tool.
Frequently asked questions
Will editing the site break the design?
No. The visual editor changes content, not structure. The layout, fonts, colors and spacing your AI tool generated stay locked while you swap text and images inside them. You cannot accidentally drag a section apart or push the page out of shape.
Do I need special markup to make an AI-generated website editable?
No. VibeBridge works with clean HTML out of the box. Texts and images are detected automatically on upload and become editable, with no special attributes or naming rules. What Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another coding tool produces is normally ready to upload as is.
Can I preview changes before they go live?
Yes. Your edits are saved as a draft and the live site stays untouched until you publish. You can preview the draft, keep refining it, or discard it and start over. Visitors only ever see the published version.
Can my AI tool still make big changes later?
Yes. The visual editor covers day-to-day content, and for structural changes like a new section or an extra page, your AI tool connects to VibeBridge over MCP. Claude and ChatGPT connect by signing in with your VibeBridge account, dev tools use an API key. It can then update pages, content, SEO and media directly.
Can several people edit the website?
Yes. You can invite other people, for example a client you built the site for. They sign in and edit text and images in the same visual editor, without touching code, and the design stays protected for everyone.
What does this cost?
Plans start at 9 € per month (excl. VAT), with a 7-day free trial, no setup fee and monthly cancellation. Hosting, SSL, the visual editor, forms and the MCP connection for your AI tool are all included. Current plans are on the pricing page.
